Soccer balls are made through a three step process: 1) A bladder is made from butyl or latex by pouring the material into a mold. 2) Rubber or synthetic leather is cut into panels to form the outer cover. 3) The bladder is placed inside the panels and the remaining panels are sewn together to fully enclose the bladder, forming the completed soccer ball.

1. Make The Bladder and The Lining
• Bladder is carefully heated.
• Pour it in the mould.
• Once cold, put the bladder aside.
The bladder is covered by layers of lining (4-6
layers).
The layers are composed by polyester or
laminated cotton.

• The cover is made
from rubber or
synthetic leather.
• The cover is sent to the machine, cut out become
individual panels.

6. 3. Combining and Finishing
• The panels are sewn
together.
• Once the panels are almost
complete, put the bladder
inside.
Experienced ball maker could make 4/5 soccer balls/day.
•The remaining panels are sewn closed around the spot.
•The ball is inflated.
