SMR-99 is a basecoat thickener designed for automotive touch-up that increases adhesion, durability, UV resistance, and gloss when mixed with unreduced solvent-borne basecoat in 20-50% proportions. SMR-999 is an excess remover that easily removes paint from around chips. The products are packaged in 9.5oz bottles of SMR-99 and aerosol cans of SMR-999, with 6 units per case. SMR-99 and SMR-999 are used to fill chips and clean excess paint respectively.

DESCRIPTION:
SMR-99 Basecoat Thickener is specifically designed for automotive touch up. SMR-99 will
increase a solvent borne basecoats adhesion, durability, UV resistance and gloss. SMR-999
Excess Remove is strong enough to easily remove any paint around chip.

APPLICATION:
Clean chips and surrounding areas with SMR-810 Wax & Grease Remover or
equivalent and dry with lint free cloth.
Mix 20 to 50% SMR-99 Basecoat Thickener with un-reduced solvent borne
basecoat. NOTE: The more SMR-99 Basecoat Thickener you use, the higher
your gloss will be.
There are many available methods to fill chips with SMR-99 Basecoat
Thickener. We offer the SMR-9 Rubber Squeegee, to facilitate chip repair.
Simply apply a small amount of the mixture next to the chips to be filled and
then immediately, but slowly squeegee the mixture into the chips. Leave as little
excess around chips as possible by repeatedly wiping the squeegee with a clean
cloth. Use SMR-999 Excess Remover to clean the squeegee and around paint
chips.
