Graf & Lewent Architects was retained by St. John's University to renovate their main cafeteria's kitchen, servery area, and a portion of the dining hall totaling 9,000 square feet, including 2,500 square feet of kitchen space and a 1,600 square foot standalone food concept. Working closely with various consultants, the architects developed an approach to open up the space and make it brighter while maintaining separate identities for six food concepts and a 24-hour convenience area, completing the entire tight seven month renovation process before the fall semester.
