Singing & Choral RecitationCompetition @ VatsalyaInternational School
Music is believed to be the soul of life. It is the conduit to attain a spiritual
connects with the almighty. In addition to its spiritual benefits, it also caters to
the intellectual and physical expansion in a human. In the contemporary scenario
it has proved itself to have a therapeutic effect too. As far as the students are
concerned, one can relate the learning of music to improvement in concentration,
gaining positive energy and honing of listening skills. It has become an integral
part of the school curriculum. On the closing stages of the first session, the school
was enriched with the fervor of spring and sought the blessings of Maa Saraswati
who is also known as the goddess of all learning and even music. For the same,
Inter-house group singing competition was held at various levels in the school on
the 17th October 2014. The students took part with great zest and performed to
the best of their abilities. The songs were well rehearsed and left a melodious
impression on the audience. In today's world it is imperative to teach children
how to speak or to develop their skills so that from the tender age of Primary they
follow the correct pronunciation, expression and teach others to do the same.
Children learn better with hands on experience and with this aim Vatsalya
organized a Choral Speaking Competition for their students 17th October 2014.
The students came up with their best expression, all placards and props depicting
their topics. They presented information on the topics like Children the future of
tomorrow, Facebook, etc. The judges were mesmerized by the oratory skills on
the children.
