In the first semester, students were introduced to anatomy, physiology, and basic lab techniques. They live in dorms on campus that have facilities like laundry, a swimming pool, and kitchens. The nearby city of Leeds has retail shops, was named a contender for European City of Culture, and is close to countryside. The university has a large student union with clubs and bars, and the city center is considered one of the best nights out in northern England with performances from popular artists.

4. An oasis of retail, also known to the locals as ‘Shopshire’. contender for 2009 ‘European City of Culture’. A stones throw from picturesque Yorkshire countryside. Home of the mighty Rhinos, Leeds Carnegie, Leeds United and Headingley Cricket ground.

5. The university itself has a Unrivalled union with 3 clubs and 2 bars, as well as numerous cafes. The city centre is the ‘Best night out in the North’ in our opinion. Leeds attracts many high profile acts who perform at the Leeds Academy and the student union- Vengaboys, S Club 3 and Max and OB from Hollyoaks!
