Place wrapper on a flat work surface
with one corner toward you
Place the item or tray in the center
of the wrapper
Place internal indicator (CI) in area of
wrap least accessible to steam

3.  Fold the closest corner of the wrapper
over the item to cover the entire surface
 Fold the corner about 2 – 2 ½ inches back
with the corner’s end toward you while
keeping the item covered

4.  Fold one side of the wrapper
over the item. Fold back the
corner about 2 ½ inches.

5.  Fold the opposite side of the wrapper over
the item. The top fold must overlap the
fold underneath.

6.  Bring the corner opposite
you straight down over the
package and under
 Secure the package with
indicator tape
 Label tape with item or
instrument and processing
date
 Place sticker with the load
and autoclave number on
wrap
