Alyssa McQueen interned with the Lima Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) from fall 2015 to winter 2016. She was tasked with developing their social media presence and updating their outdated website. Despite obstacles like limited help from officers unfamiliar with social media and websites, Ms. McQueen succeeded in creating Facebook and Twitter pages linked to an updated member and public website. She presented her work to the Chapter and Board, and created training materials to enable their continued use of the sites. Based on supervising her work, the author was impressed by Ms. McQueen's time management, communication, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines while adjusting plans as needed.
