CONFIGURATION/DATAMANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
 Gathers information from subject matter experts for inclusion into
organizational communications.
 Assigns document numbers, drawing numbers, revisions, dash numbers and
software part numbers in the applicable databases.
 Enters engineering release information into databases.
 Coordinates changes to processes using defined change management
practices while maintaining configuration control.
 Participates in the interpretation of contractual data requirements.
 Maintains delivery schedule for contractual data and other program data.
 Tracks contract data deliveries and receipts and implements control
processes to ensure contract data compliance.
 Prepares transmittal information and delivers data (i.e., documents,

 Identifies/coordinates business systems issues in accordance with
established procedures.
 Performs non-technical checks of engineering data to verify that engineering,
and/or supplier product definition data meets procedural and system
requirements.
 Locates and distributes applicable standards in support of data management
requirements.
 Gathers requirements for program processes.
 Participates with users to develop step by step process flows and process
solutions.
 Develops and maintains common business processes.
 Tracks supplier deliverables.

 Verifies, reports, and checks status of schedule compliance for engineering
events by recording engineering product definition data from date of receipt
through release.
