I have been using TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) with preschool groups of 8-10 children for about 2 years. Rather than creating a story with class input, I usually prepare a short PowerPoint story focused on our language structure of the day. We spend 5-10 minutes on the story, circling just one structure, then sing a song before ending. The preschoolers have been learning well with this adapted TPRS approach.
