Service learning involves volunteering in the community to help others and reflecting on the experience to gain knowledge. It can be done by people of all ages anywhere in the world, from the classroom to online. Students benefit from service learning by developing positive attitudes, good character, problem solving skills, community connections, and social awareness. To get started, students find a volunteer project related to their studies, plan and prepare for it, carry it out, then share and reflect on their experience.
