મ ઇ લામમાં માણસના ૃ ય પછ મડદાને દાટવામાં
આવે છે, તેમ સતપંથમાં પણ માણસના ૃ ય પછ તેના
મડદાને દાટવામાં આવે છે.
ઈિતહાસના નજરથી જોઈએ તો એ ું કારણ મા એટ ુજ
હ ું ક સતપંથના ધમ ચારકો ારા તેમના
અ ુયાયીઓનો ઇ લામી ર ત ર વાજોનો ચાર કર
તેમને ઇ લામ ધમ પાળતા કર દવા.
પણ જયાર ક છ કડવા પાટ દાર ાિતમાં લગભગ ૧૦૦
વષ પહલા, નારાયણ રામ લ બાણી, રતનશી ખીમ ખેતાણી અને સંત ઓધવરામ
મહારાજના યાસોના કારણે, ધાિમક ૃિત આવી અને લોકોને ખબર પડ ક સતપંથ ધમને
ક લ ુગનો સાચો હ ુ ધમ તર ક તેઓ પાળતા હતા, તે સતપંથ ધમ તો વા તવમાં ઇ લામ ું
એક ફાં ું છે.
સતપંથીઓ હમેશા હ ુઓની વ ચે હ ુ ઓળખ અપનાવીને રહતા આ યા છે. પણ જયાર સતપંથ
ુ લમ ધમ છે તેવી ણ સવને થઇ, યાર મોટા ભાગના સતપંથીઓને સતપંથના ર ત ર વાજો
પાળવામાં શરમ તેમજ જક અ ુભવવા લા યા. આવા અ ુભવોના કારણે લોકો સતપંથ ધમના
ૂળ ર ત ર વાજો છોડવા લા યા. તેમાની એક ુ ય ર ત હતી, મડદાને દાટવાની થા. ધીર ધીર
મોટ સં યામાં લોકો સતપંથની આ થાને છોડ ને મડદાને અ નદાહ આપવની થા અપનાવવા
લા યા.
ઇ લામ સાથે જોડાણ ટકાવી રાખનાર ૂિમદાગ / ૂિમદાહ થાને સતપંથ અ ુયાયીઓ ારા
િતલાંજ લ આપવાના કારણે સતપંથના ચારકો ચિતત થયા. કારણક જો આ ુંચાલ ું રહશે તો
એક દવસ સતપંથમાં કોઈ રહ રહ અને સતપંથ ધમ બંદ થઇ જશે.
આ પ ર થિતનો ર તો કાઢવા માટ જ ર હ ું ક એવો ર તો અપનાવવો ક લોકોને
ૂિમદાગ આપવામાં શરમાની લાગણી ન થાય અને અ ય હ ુ સમાજના લોકો સતપંથી

રણનીિતનો ફર થી ઉપયોગ કય .
તેઓએ એવો ઉપાય બતા યો ક નાથી ૂળ ઇ લામી ુમીદાગ થાને બા હ ુ પ
આપી દવામાં આ ું.
તેઓએ આશરો લીધો હ ુ "અથવ વેદ"નો.
સતપંથના ચારકોએ આના માટ ુબ જ ુ ત ૂવક યાસો કયા. તેઓએ અથવવેદની ચાર
ઋચાઓ ું ુ ં અથઘટન ક ુ. તે ઋચાઓ નીચે માણે છે. (સં ૂણ િવગત આ સાથે જોડલ ફાઈલ-
િવ લેષણ માં છે.)

ઉપર જણાવેલ ચાર ઋચાઓ એવી છે ક કોઈની િમલકતમાં ક જ યામાં કાંઇક મેલી વ ુ દાટલી
હોય તો તેવી મેલી વ ુને ુ ત કર ને એ િમલકત ક જ યા પિવ કરવા માટ મં ો છે. ઉપર
જણાવેલ મં ો ું ુજરાતી ભાષાંતર જોશો તો તમને સમ શે ક મેલી િવ ાના યોગથી ટ
થયેલ કોઈ જ યાને પિવ કરવા માટ આ મં ોનો ઉપયોગ થાય છે.
હવે સતપંથના ચારકોએ સતપંથના અ ુયાયીઓને આ ું બતા ું ક અથવ વેદની ઋચાઓ

33. વીકાય કર લીધી. થોડા જ ા ુ લોકો મા ઉપર જણાવેલ ઋચાઓ ું ુજરાતી ભાષાંતર જોઈને
સંતોષ માણી લે. ડાણમાં કોઈ અ યાસ કર ન હ. એટલે આ ુ ી ૂિમદાગ વાળ વાત વીકાય
થવા સહ ું બની ગ ું.
પોતાની વાતની ુ ટ માટ સા ુ અને સ યાસીઓને અપાતી સમાિધને ૂિમદાગ સાથે સરખાવીને
ુમીદાગને વીકાય બતા યો. (પણ વા તવમાં જોડલ ફાઈલ-િવ લેષણમાં જોશો ક સા ુ-સ યાસી
વગેરને તેમની હયાતીમાં તેમના ુતળાને અ નસં કાર આપવામાં આવે છે યાર બાદ તેમને
કાયમ માટ ઘર સંસાર છોડ દ ું પડ છે અને યાર બાદ તેમની ૃ ુ વખતે સમાિધ શા માટ
આપવામાં આવે છે.)
આવી ર તે સતપંથ ું ઇ લામ સાથે જોડાણ ટકાવી રાખતી થા એટલે ક ુમીદાગ ફર થી ચાલવા
લાગી.
વા તવમાં હ ુ વેદો માણે કોઈ માણસના ૃ ય પછ તેના મડદાનો કવી ર તે િનકાલ કરવો, તે
જોઈએ.
હ ુ વેદો માણે મડદાના િનકાલને " યે ટ" કમ કરવાય. આ યે ટ કમનો ઉ લેખ હ ુ
અથવ વેદમાં ાય પણ નથી. આનો ઉ લેખ મા ય ુવદમાં છે. ય ુવદના ૩૯માં અ યાયમાં
યે ટ કમના બારામાં ણકાર આપેલ છે. તેમાં ચો ખે ચો ું જણાવેલ છે ક મડદાને ાર
પણ ૂિમમાં દાટ ું ન હ. એનો મતલબ ાર પણ ુમીદાગ આપવો ન હ. માટ સામા ય લોકો
માટ મડદાને અ ન સં કાર આપવા ું કહલ છે.
તમાં: ઉપર જણાવેલ સવ હક કતોને યાનમાં લેશો તો સમ શે ક સતપંથના ચારકોએ ુબજ
ુ ત ૂવક ર તો કાઢ ને સતપંથના અ ુયાયીઓ ું ઇ લામ સાથે ું જોડાણ ટકાવી રાખેલ છે.
