How to reach Nainital:
By Air:
The nearest airport to Nainital is the Pantnagar Airport (PGH), located approximately 68 kilometers (42 miles) away. It’s a
domestic airport with limited connectivity to major cities. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Nainital.
By Train:
The nearest major railway station is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), which is around 34 kilometers (21 miles) from Nainital.
Kathgodam has excellent connections to several Indian cities. You can either hire a taxi or ride in a shared taxi from
Kathgodam to Nainital. The journey from Kathgodam to Nainital takes about 1 to 2 hours.
By Road:
Nainital is well-connected by road to major cities and towns in Uttarakhand and nearby states. You can reach Nainital by bus,
car, or taxi. Here are some common routes:
From Delhi: Nainital is approximately 300 kilometers (186 miles) from Delhi. You can take the NH9 (National Highway 9) route
via Hapur, Moradabad, and Rampur. Depending on traffic and the state of the roads, the trip often lasts 7-8 hours.
From Dehradun: Nainital is about 300 kilometers (186 miles) from Dehradun. You can take the NH7 route via Haridwar,
Najibabad, and Ramnagar. The journey takes around 7-8 hours.
From Lucknow: Nainital is approximately 400 kilometers (248 miles) from Lucknow. You can take the NH24B route via Bareilly
