SecureFit™ TPS Trendelenburg Positioning System delivers a simple, safe and secure way to position patients for Trendelenburg procedures. Offering a dramatically reduced set-up time, SecureFit is uniquely contoured to cradle the patient’s natural curvature, and the independent gel-encased cubes deliver maximum pressure redistribution and support, with minimal slipping.

Frequent Trendelenburg Procedures
• Hysterectomy – laparoscopic and robotic
– Surgical removal of the uterus
• Prostatectomy – laparoscopic and robotic
– Removal of all (radical) or part (simple) of the prostate
due to cancer or hypertrophy
• Colectomy – laparoscopic and robotic
– Surgical resection of any part of the large intestine
(colon)
• Laparoscopic abdominal, pelvic surgeries
– General surgeries on the abdomen and pelvis

AliMed SecureFit TPS - Trendelenburg Positioning System
The AliMed SecureFit™ TPS Trendelenburg
Positioning System securely and safely positions
patients in Trendelenburg procedures including
Robotic, Laparoscopic and Open procedures.

The proprietary design
combines a uniquely
contoured surface
geometry to resist sliding
and a patient-conforming
viscoelastic gel covered
surface to redistribute
surface pressure.

• The TPS Foundation follows the curve of the back
over the patient’s scapula:
– This helps to distribute the pressure from body weight
over a larger area on both sides and prevents high focal
pressures over the shoulders.
• The TPS Foundation covers all the way from tip of
scapula to the acromion process but not the
acromioclavicular joint
– Helps to prevent pressure transduction to the joint and
subsequent compression of the nerve tracts traveling
under it.

Engineered to Minimize
Patient Slipping and
Maximize Pressure
Redistribution
The SecureFit TPS Gel Pad minimizes
patient slipping as the unique gel
configuration creates a natural cradle
with the curve of the patient’s
scapula.

Simple Design & Set Up
Makes Trendelenburg
Positioning Easier
The SecureFit TPS can be set up in a
minute and allows for easy, open
access to the patients arms. IV lines
can be kept out of the way by passing
them through the opening between
the arm pad and the TPS Gel Pad.

“Once the patient is secured in the device there is
no slippage or shift in position during surgery. It
has reduced our prep time by 15-30 minutes in
most daVinci® robot assisted procedures in steep
Trendelenburg position.”
