2. Jo rushed inside tears rolled from her face. She quickly passed Kelly to Dan and ran to Holden. She wept in his arms “Baby, what's wrong?” he asked, between tears she answered him “Outside..he’s dead..a man.. He...” she continued to cry. Holden moved back and followed Dan upstairs with his wife trailing behind.
3. Nancy entered the room pointing at the sofa, she didn’t speak. Claire made her way over and sat down, putting her head in her hands she waited.
4. Nancy ran upstairs to find everyone safe, “Holden, you need to come down stairs, quickly, there’s someone you need to see”. Holden nodded, even though not happy about the idea he knew he needed to help.
5. Nancy and Holden headed downstairs, Claire looked up ‘It couldn’t be, how is Holden alive’ she thought to herself. Nancy left to remove the body from the pavement. Holden was left alone.
6. He turned to he, this stranger, but she was no stranger but a betrayer, a liar, a thief. “Claire, why have you come here?” he asked. She merely looked up at him “you think I wanted to come here, me and my brother got caught, they found me. They killed him and threw us out on the kerb”. Holden looked at her could he trust what she was saying?
7. Dan placed Kelly on the floor and headed over to Jo. “You okay” he said, she didn’t look at him “what is this? I know it’s a coffin but why here?”. Dan opened his eyes wide he had to tell her the truth “umm…well its…mine”.
8. Kelly walked across the cold floor towards Dan. He picked her up, the biggest smile filled the girls face, she didn’t see the coldness Jo saw she counted him as the same as everyone else. But he wasn’t he was different he was a vampire. Jo walked to the corner of the room and sat down, Kelly soon followed, Dan just stood there waiting.
9. Claire stood up “Oh Holden, I missed you so much” he backed away. “What’s wrong with you?” she asked, Holden wanted to burst in anger. “You know what, you lead them to me, to my family and now their dead”. Silence filled the room.
10. “Holden look, there are a few things I didn’t tell you” he looked at her. “Yeh how you cured yourself of Zombism, and why you helped kill my family”. She laughed “Well my brother was working on a new machine which changes anything back to its normal state and well it worked!” she smiled, he didn’t smile back.
11. She gazed at him, head to toe, taking in every detail. He was married, maybe a kid or two, he hadn't aged much but it hadn't been that long. “Holden, I’m sorry I really am but it wasn’t my fault. They tricked me, told me to go looking for you, they told me that your whole family had gone to Mystic woods. They already knew where you were they used me as bait, send me in and make it look as if I had lead them here but it wasn’t me”. Holden looked at her she wasn’t lying he could feel it, “who was it then?”, Claire looked back and whispered softly “It was-”she paused “Nivida”.
12. Holden rushed upstairs leaving Claire alone, he found his wife knelt in the corner. “You okay?” he asked; she brushed the hair from her face and the tears from her eyes, she glanced at the wall in the room. “I can still see him Holden, lying their dead, and her just sitting next to him” she stopped. Holden stroked her face “That woman, she’s one of my friends, and that was her brother, she’s here to help” he hoped she was here to help, that would make a change. Jo stood up.
13. Holden walked down stairs towards Claire. “Come with me, there's a few people I want you to meet”. She threw her hand up and laughed “sure, I need to take my mind of things”. They headed up the stairs.
14. Jo stood next to Dan who was holding Kelly, Holden smiled “Honey, this is Claire, don’t worry she’s here to help”. Jo looked at the woman, glaring at her face, she leant close to Holden “I know who she is, remember we also use to be friends, but not anymore, not after what she did” Jo walked passed and head down stairs to the sofa.
15. Everyone met down stairs, Claire sat next to Holden, Jo next to Nancy and Dan stood with Kelly in the corner but soon put her down so she could play. “So, what are we going to do?” Nancy questioned.
16. Nancy glared at everyone “well come on, fine don’t answer” she looked at Claire “sure we can trust her this time?”. Claire had enough “Shut up! How do we know we can trust you?” she questioned, Nancy laughed “well I’m not a lying heartless b-” Dan butted in.
17. “Look, I say we head over to the Mistress, she’ll know what to do next and what to do with her” Dan said, “But we better hurry, before its dawn”. Holden looked at him “why do we need to hurry?”, Dan was worried.
18. “Uhh…well-” Jo butted in “Holden, he’s a vampire, look at him. Pale skin, sharp teeth, cold skin and cold eyes”. Dan nodded, Holden stared at Jo “How do you know his skins cold? What have you two been up to!” he shouted. Jo wasn’t having any of it “Nothing! So why don’t you stop being an ass and get up” she picked up Kelly and left.
19. They made their way outside, onto the pavement. They’d all arrive separately just to make sure Holden wasn’t followed. Holden turned to Jo “I’m not a full human either”. He launched his self into the air and flew towards the Mistresses castle, Dan became a bat and flew off too. Jo was left with Nancy and Claire. Nancy grabbed Claire by the arm, your coming with us so don’t try anything, Jo, Nancy and Claire hopped in a cab; toward what ever lay ahead.
20. I sat there in the room alone. They’d taken my clothes, left me with just my jeans. I’d betrayed them, let them down, what would the do to me. I’d helped Holden survive, pushing him into a trap door. But now I could only hope I’d survived, hopefully someone would find me. I worried about what they’d do to me.
21. The door opened, she stepped in the room once again. Hungry for some blood, she knelt down near me. Stroking my neck, she bite down, hard. I needed to escape, I needed a miracle.
