Marlon J. Manrique has a BS in Computer Science and is a student and faculty member at Universidad Autonoma de Manizales in Colombia. As a software developer, he experienced increasing internet bandwidth speeds from 64 kbps to 512 kbps from June 2007 to April 2008 while dealing with low bandwidth and firewall issues trying to use virtual worlds like Second Life at his university.
