This document summarizes the results of a survey about the use of search engines for academic purposes. The survey found that 73% of respondents use search engines always for academics, and that 50-75% of total browsing time is spent using search engines for course learning, solving problems, and finding additional resources. Most respondents rated their overall search engine experience for academics between 7-8 out of 10. While 43% of respondents only check the first page of search results, 70% agreed or strongly agreed that search engines are more helpful than books for finding academic resources.
