FADE IN:
EXT. SMALL VILLAGE - DAY - SPRING
(Soft music plays)
We enter down a country road with well pruned hedge rows on
either side. At the end of the road there is small triangular
intersection with a small village cenotaph in the centre. It
is adorned with fresh flowers and the plaques are glimmering
in the spring light. There is a country pub adjacent to the
triangle with a thatched roof. Several hanging baskets with
large colourful flowers hang from the side of the pub. The
benches outside are well looked after with large umbrellas
shading the village residents. It is a busy pub, but not
overcrowded. There are no raised voices or untoward
behaviour. Everything is just so. On the opposite side of the
pub, a row of stone cottages sit. They are neatly in a row,
each with a well kept hedgerow and pristine gates in front.
Each has a plaque on the gate with house names on. They are
well maintained, there is no moss, mould or discolouration.
EXT COTTAGE - DAY - SPRING
Cottage, surrounded in greenery and blooming flowers of all
kinds such as roses of all colours, pink carnations and
purple and yellow pansies. The garden around the cottage is
very well taken care of. The bushes are pruned and the lawn
is neatly mowed without a single piece of leaf litter on it.
We slowly move in to the window, going through into the
living room.
INT. COTTAGE - DAY - SPRING
Cottage interior, very rustic filled with little cat statues
and family photos. The wallpaper is striped, simplistic with
cream and sage stripes. There's a few plants around on
shelves as well as windowsills with sun catchers hung above
them.
ELDERLY WOMAN is sat on a bamboo rocking chair with light
pink pillows tied with bows to the arm rests with BROOM
curled up sleeping on her lap. ELDERLY WOMAN is wearing a
floral night gown with a forest green knitted cardigan. We
move towards Broom and he opens his eyes to look into the
lens.

expression, wears cardigans she made herself. Average grandma
obsessed with her cat, very innocent and polite.
(Music fades)
ELDERLY WOMAN
Oh what would I do without you BROOM...
BROOM, 3 year old white manecoon cat with few ginger patches,
orange eyes, is very mischievous.
BROOM
(Eyes closed)
Quietly purring
MATCH CUT TO:
EXT. GRAVE - MORNING - HEAVY RAIN
The sky is bleak and grey, heavy fog.
BROOM is now sat on YUKOs lap who is dressed in black. A
small group of people are surrounding the fresh grave of the
ELDERLY WOMAN. YUKO is holding an umbrella, sat on a fold out
metal chair with BROOM on her lap in front of the group of
people, her expression is neutral. The crowd are mostly
elderly people who are well dressed. They are avoiding the
gaze of YUKO. YUKO is holding a photo of the ELDERLY WOMAN
framed in a fancy golden frame with embossed cat faces on
each corner in one hand. BROOM has his eyes open but isn't
purring, he has a calm expression. Only the rain can be
heard.
YUKO, a young Korean woman in her early 20s, tall with an
average bodyweight dressed professionally in a black suit and
tie and a white straight ironed shirt with an earpiece, looks
like a bodyguard.
BROOM stands, stretches and digs his claws into YUKO's leg
turning back and looking at her with an irritated expression.
YUKO
(Holding back a cry of pain,
irritated)
Okay okay we can leave but you don't
have to dig your claws into me!

EXT. - MORNING, CAR WINDOW - RAIN
BROOM is resting his head on the door of a sleek, black Mini
Cooper, looking out into the road with a typical sad main
character moment. The outside of the window has rain drops
running down it. BROOM's breath slightly fogs up the window
from the inside. He has a neutral expression. The car is
passing buildings in the neighbourhood BROOM lives in, they
can be vaguely seen in the reflection of the door window.
INT. CAR. MORNING
BROOM lifts his head and turns to look at YUKO, we follow his
eyes, his expression is neutral.
YUKO is driving silently. She is rigid in her seat with her
hands placed uniformly in front of her. The only movement we
see are her eyes glancing at the rear view mirror.
BROOM positions his head back on the door of the car and
continues looking outside aimlessly. BROOM slowly closes his
eyes.
YUKO stops at a red light, BROOM is looking at something and
then his pupils expand and his ears perk up.
BROOM blinks.
MATCH CUT:
BROOM opens his eyes and we see the buildings from his point
of view. BROOMs eyes pan across the different buildings and
backtrack swiftly to quickly zoom into a shop sign that reads
"fish shop" with a small icon of an angel fish at the end
with bubbles around it.
STRAIGHT CUT:
We focus back on BROOM's face, his expression is neutral, he
closes his eyes to blink.
MATCH CUT:
BROOM's point of view once again as he opens his eyes, his
pupils are much bigger than before.

BROOM's expression changes to a menacing, evil stare with an
uneven cat smirk.
CUT TO BLACK
BEGIN TITLES:
(music plays : black eyed peas - pump it.)
Straight cut to movie title on a black screen then cut to
birds eye view over Moscow with title "TEMPTATION IN GLASS"
in Russian, superimposed in the centre of the screen, the
black background fades into an extreme long shot of the city
of Moscow. Title fades slowly. At the same time,the camera
tilts down as the setting fades to black quickly.
END TITLES
BEGIN OPENING CREDITS
Animated sequence of opening credits plays, music continues.
MATCH CUT FROM CREDITS
INT. YUKO'S HOUSE, KITCHEN DAY
This room is vastly different from the old ladies house.
There is no clutter or trinkets. Every surface is clean and
shining. There is a monochrome theme with minimal furniture.
Everything in the house has a function. The kitchen is bare
with glossy floor to ceiling cupboards in white. BROOM is
surveying the kitchen with disdain. He approaches the island
in the middle of the kitchen. It is made of white marble. On
the island is a fish bowl, a blue and purple iridescent beta
fish swims slowly inside with minimal decoration. There's
small white rocks at the bottom of the bowl and a miniature
run-down castle and a single leafy plant, the beta looks
content.
The doorbell rings, YUKO reaches with her right hand towards
her left side under her jacket, making sure her gun is in
reach within the concealed harness. She checks the in house
monitor and sees a delivery man at the door.
STRAIGHT CUT
INT. FRONT DOOR MORNING
The delivery man looks bored. He is dressed in a brown shirt,
brown shorts and a brown cap with a logo. He has speckled
rain drops on his clothes and is sheltering under the porch.

He hands YUKO a clipboard which she signs. He hands over a
large box which looks huge in YUKO's small frame. He walks
away from the door already with his phone to his ear. YUKO
agilely moves inside and shuts the door with her foot.
INT. YUKO'S HOUSE, KITCHEN DAY
The package is on the island next to the fishbowl. YUKO pulls
a hunting knife from a concealed place on the underside of
the island and opens up the box. She pulls a note out.
YUKO
(reading)
The benefactor's estate wishes to
of which he is
treat Sir in the manner
accustomed. Regards.
YUKO looks confused.
YUKO (CONT'D)
Sir?
YUKO unpacks several packages which reveal a hand painted
china food and water bowl with an ornate blue and white
design, a bejewelled collar and a cashmere bed. She looks
over at BROOM and rolls her eyes.
BROOM's ears perk up from the edge of table as he assesses
his new gifts. He jumps onto the island finally noticing the
fishbowl and moves along from the left of the shot to the
right, stopping at the salad-bowl-sized glass bowl where
BROOM comes up and puts his paws on the table. BROOM raises
his head behind the bowl, the glass distorts his face and
makes it look wide, reminiscent of the film poster.
YUKO holds a small, green plastic spray bottle filled with
tap water, she slowly walks into frame from the right and
sprays BROOM on the side of his head.
YUKO
(irritated)
I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING, DON'T YOU
DARE.
BROOM hisses, his ears are pointing down and he shakes his
head to get as much water off as possible and jumps off the
chair he was standing on then runs to the right, out of
frame.
YUKO bends down and places the spray bottle on the ground,
she looks at the fish bowl, takes a small container of flaky

fish food from just outside the frame and drops a few fish
flakes into the water. The beta seems uninterested and
continues swimming around its small bowl aimlessly.
STRAIGHT CUT
INT. YUKO'S BEDROOM
A very minimalistic grey room, black carpet with a double bed
with white sheets. The headboard is black and made out of
faux leather. A light grey, small nightstand with a drawer
stands on the left side of the bed with a white ceramic lamp
on the left edge and a half empty glass of water in front of
it, slightly to the right.
BROOM walks in to the room from the left side of the screen.
BROOM jumps onto the bed, sits down on the sheets and stares
intently at the glass of water on the nightstand.
The glass of water is in the centre of the screen, in focus.
The lamp is in the background but is blurry.
BROOMS paw slowly emerges from the right side of the screen.
BROOM puts his paw down on the nightstand behind the glass
and slowly moves towards it, he starts to push the glass
closer towards the edge of the nightstand with his right
front paw.
INT. YUKO'S HOUSE, KITCHEN DAY
A distant crash can be heard.
YUKO is in the kitchen, to the left of the frame. The sink is
behind her and a window is above the sink. The weather is
still dull and raining.
YUKO is opening a small can of cat food with distasteful
expression. YUKO looks up suddenly with a surprised
expression, reacting to the noise.
STRAIGHT CUT
INT. YUKO'S HOUSE, HALLWAY
We are positioned on the laminated wooden floorboards in the
hallway facing the entrance to YUKO's bedroom. The hallway is
also white with no pictures on the wall.

YUKO speed-walks towards the door

INT. YUKO'S HOUSE, BEDROOM DOORWAY
YUKO walks closer towards her bedroom, where BROOM is sat on
the bed.
YUKO looks at BROOM sitting on her bed with a blank
expression. She sees the water all over the floor and broken
glass scattered with it.
YUKO blinks.
