Sea stars, also known as starfish or asteroids, are echinoderms with five arms that radiate from a central disk and often have a thick, spiny body. They come in various types, with some having between 4 to 9 arms while most have 10 or more arms and spines on their back. Despite having no head, sea stars are able to eat many things by extending their stomach outside their body.
