Photography involves scientific principles of light and its interaction with matter. Light reflects off objects and passes through lenses which focus the light and form an image on a light-sensitive surface like photographic film or image sensor. The result is a chemical or digital image that captures details of the scene in front of the lens at the moment the photo was taken.
