Dr. Rajan Bhatt is the founder of Spectrum Dermatology in Scottsdale, Arizona. Also the founder of Spectrum Plastic Surgery and Valley Surgery Center, Dr. Rajan Bhatt completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Arizona (UA) Sarver Heart Center.
Part of UA’s College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona, the Sarver Center is home to the Molecular Cardiovascular Research Program (MCRP), which conducts in-depth studies of the biological and molecular workings of the heart and lungs to help doctors better understand cardiovascular disease. The center employs around 150 scientists and clinicians who specialize in cardiovascular disease.
The researchers and practitioners share data and breakthroughs across the laboratory and clinical settings. “We go from bench to bedside and back to bench,” said MCRP Director Carol Gregorio, PhD, describing the relationship between clinicians and scientists. MCRP researchers also collaborate with bioscientists from UA’s nearby BIO5 Institute and with colleagues on the UA Health Sciences Campus.
