This document provides an introduction to lean manufacturing principles. It defines lean as an improvement process and philosophy focused on eliminating waste. The eight main categories of waste are described as defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilized talent, transportation, inventory, motion, and excess processing. 5S and standardized work are presented as tools to establish a baseline and reduce unevenness. Just-in-time principles of continuous flow, takt time, pull systems and autonomation are discussed. Continuous improvement is advocated through applying the PDCA cycle to make small, incremental improvements toward clearly defined goals.

This document summarizes the synthesis and analysis of the coordination complex aquapentaammine-cobalt(III) nitrate, [Co(NH3)5(H2O)](NO3)3. The synthesis yielded a 9.17% yield of the desired complex. Various analytical techniques were used to characterize the complex, including cobalt analysis using UV-Vis spectroscopy, where the cobalt was converted to a thiocyanate complex to improve sensitivity. Gravimetric analysis determined the nitrate content, and acid/base titration was used to determine the acid dissociation constant. Kinetics experiments examined the ligand exchange reaction of the complex. Additional experiments investigated the reaction of chromium(III) with the hexad

This document provides an overview of managing information and marketing research. It discusses the importance of information to companies and defines marketing research. The marketing information system is introduced as consisting of people, equipment, and procedures to gather, sort, analyze, evaluate, and distribute timely and accurate information. The four main steps in the marketing research process are outlined as defining the problem, developing a research plan, implementing the plan, and reporting findings.
Presented to the Board of Higher Education by Susan Lane, Senior Advisor to the Commissioner for P16 Access & Alignment Policy, and Jeff Wulfson, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
The document is a planning stage report for a graded unit project on creating an equine facility for a college. It outlines areas of research needed including animal care and welfare, facility management, required resources, and potential barriers. For the animal care section, the report lists factors to consider such as horse sourcing, welfare needs, licensing, housing, and costs. The facility management section addresses student and staff health and safety, funding sources, and disease prevention. Upcoming timelines show planned work periods accounting for college assignments and personal commitments.
Healthcare IT product development involves a lot of Compliance and Security related component development which can be accomplished in various ways. Harbinger has been working on Meaningful Use Stage 2 related software development in HIT products and has gathered useful insights into Secure Patient Health Information exchange, Patient Health Record privacy and security along with simplification of MU Stage 2 attestation & testing through automation.
Attendees got insight on the prerequisites and the technological approach required with examples in accomplishing attestation to meaningful use stage 2 for Healthcare IT systems in a structured manner.
Driving the next wave of innovation, the 'Internet of Things (IoT)' phenomenon is picking up speed. IoT is generating new evolving data and desperately needs computational resources for creating revolutionary IoT applications. An IoT application at the core needs to be able to combine the services offered by multiple applications and scale up to handle huge number of users in reliable manner. And this is where Cloud computing plays a significant role
