Editor's Notes
My state is Louisiana. It’s name came from the honor of Louis XIV in France. Louisiana’s abbreviation is LA. It’s nick name is the Pelican State because it’s state is known for pelicans.
The flag of Louisiana displays a white pelican nurturing it’s young by tearing it’s own breast. Louisiana’s motto is Union, Justice, and Confidence. It’s date of statehood is April 30, 1812. Louisiana’s state song is “You Are My Sunshine”.
Louisiana is in the west census region. Three landforms of Louisiana are the Driskill Mountains, Mississippi Delta, and the West Gulf Costal Plain. Louisiana’s climate is subtropical. The pie chart shows my attractions graph.
Three items that highlight Louisiana are that Louisiana has 13.9 millions of acres. Also, did you know that Louisiana became the 18th state to join the union and encomposed what had been the territory of New Orleans? Another thing that highlights Louisiana is the only source of Tabasco pepper, prized as a condiment across the world.
