 In 1966 he along with his brother, Sohail,
Rahman started business by running a
jute mill, which was left behind by their
father.
 The government nationalized the mill in

Export and Import Company (Beximco
Group) in 1972.
 They started exporting seafood and
crushed bones in Belgium, France,
Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands.
 At that time, foreign exchange control

student protest against President Ayub
Khan in the late 1960s.
 After a long gap, in 1996, he formed a
political party named 'Prosperous
Bangladeshi Movement'.

brother Sahail F Rahman, partnered with
the Dubai-based Galadari Brothers
Group and established the Arab
Bangladesh Bank (AB Bank).
