The Roosevelt Lady Riders volleyball team ended Resurrection Christian's 70-match winning streak by defeating them 3-1. Resurrection Christian was ranked #8 in the state and #1 in their division, and had not lost since November 2012. The Roosevelt team was nervous facing such a dominant opponent, but their coach told them streaks are meant to be broken. Led by sophomore Jadyn Stumpf's 18 kills and 11 digs, the Lady Riders won the crucial final three sets to make history and snap Resurrection Christian's streak, the third longest in state history. The win boosts Roosevelt's playoff ranking and confidence as they head into their next match.
