6. Sandstone is a classic sedimentary rock composed
mainly of sand-sized minerals or rock grains.
Rock formations that are primarily composed of
sandstone usually allow percolation of water and
other fluids and are porous enough to store large
quantities, making them valuable for exterior
applications. Sandstone is mined by quarrying. It is
sometimes found where there used to be small seas.
It is usually formed in deserts or dry places like
Rajasthan.
Hardness and Porosity characteristics of sandstone
make it applicable for Paving, Exterior or Interior,
Flooring, Walling etc, available in variety of colors,
sizes , shapes and Finishes.

quartz grains are cemented together by
secondary silica calcite. The presence of
minor color tonal variations make it a
unique and attractive building stone.
