Andrea Centrone is a postdoctoral associate in chemical engineering at MIT who has done research on synthesizing and characterizing gold nanoparticles, studying their phase separation and solubility properties. They are also working to develop new nanoporous materials for chemical storage and separation. As a Rocca Postdoctoral Fellow, they have an opportunity for professional and personal growth through continued collaboration and exchange in a highly competitive environment. Centrone has a PhD in materials science from Politecnico di Torino and was a visiting student at MIT.
