The St Andrews Cathedral lighting appeal aims to raise £190,000 to install new LED lighting to illuminate the cathedral ruins at night. The lights were removed 10 years ago and new lighting would make the iconic ruins more beautiful and visible in the dark winter months, benefiting both visitors and the local community. Historic Environment Scotland maintains the cathedral ruins and approves of the fundraising effort led by the local St Andrews Partnership charity. Donations are being accepted both online and via mail to help light up one of Scotland's most memorable historic sites.
