This document discusses surveys given to two target groups regarding the "Three Strikes Law". The first group was judges and asked questions like what percentage of cases they deal with involve heinous crimes and if the discretionary powers under the law help reduce crime rates. The second group was lawyers and asked questions such as if social stigma contributes to repeat offenders and the advantages of the Three Strikes Law for society, like reducing serious felonies. Both groups were asked if the Three Strikes Law maintains societal tranquility and its effect on prison populations. The document thanks respondents.
