This is pics from a pug's eye view of Siesta Key on one of our favorite walks from beach to a row of mansions, beach cottages and little dirt roads. Sadie the Sales pug loves her walks.
This power point was presented at PugFest 2010 in Milwaukee by Dr Ken Lambrecht owner of Westside Family Pet Clinic & 4 Paws Swim & Fitness in Madison WI to address the specific wellness issues of pugs that can be addressed with preventative nutrition which includes Ideal Weight and evidence based supplements.
Pugs originated in China during the Han dynasty and were prized by Chinese emperors. They were brought to Europe by Dutch traders in the 1500s-1600s and became popular among European royalty. Pugs gained popularity in England during the Victorian era and were recognized as an official breed by kennel clubs in the late 1800s. While they faced a decline in the early 1900s, dedicated breeders kept the breed going and Pugs regained popularity in the 20th century. Today they remain a popular companion breed despite some common health issues like skin conditions and orthopedic problems due to their short nose and compact body.
Pug was a happy dog as a kid who later got a job working for a company, following a small boy wherever he went and becoming very famous. However, one day a new company took over the old one, leaving Pug panicked in an uncertain situation. It was decided that Pug would be let go from his job, now leaving him jobless. The story's moral is to love your job rather than your company, as companies' priorities can change, and it's important to remain a professional.

RhondaK's 2nd two show is too much for her. Snakes, rum, bellydancers, pirates and more pirates. John's Pass Pirate Festival 2008. LOTS of funny bar signs, mermaids, folk art and MORE.
This document summarizes Richard's earliest childhood memories growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah in the 1940s-1950s. Some key memories included living in a house on Logan Avenue with a small front and back yard, favorite childhood games, broken bones from accidents, and listening to radio programs. Richard had three sisters and was very close with his younger sister Bonnie. He enjoyed activities like playing with modeling clay and making a homemade vending machine. The document provides personal details that help paint a picture of Richard's family and childhood experiences.

1. The document describes the 10-year evolution of the landscaping at "The 'I used to have a lawn' Garden". It started with a 5-year plan focused on drought-resistant, low-maintenance plants in yellow, red-orange and purple hues.
2. A key part of the landscaping is a rainwater collection system that captures over 35,000 gallons annually from the barn roof to use for household and garden needs.
3. Over the 10 years, the landscaping went through periods of being maintained, neglected, and revived as the owners' priorities changed but the original plan helped guide the revival process.

This slide presentation is used primarily to develop in students a better understanding of how an author will sometimes turn to imagery to convey a powerful feeling. Ray Bradbury uses a slew of similes, metaphors, and choice words in this short story to convey how a young boy feels when he sees a new pair of sneakers he simply must own.

Janet Hardy-Gould has worked as a teacher of English for many years. She has written several books for students of English, including adaptations of historical stories. The document provides biographical information about the author of the book "Sinbad".
This document outlines six categories of supportive materials that can be used when presenting information: illustrations/examples/personal stories, descriptions/explanations, analogies, definitions, facts/statistics, and opinions/quotes. Each category is defined and examples are provided of how each type of supportive material can be used, such as using statistics to convey percentages or ratios, or using expert opinions from professionals in a field.
A collection of RhondaK's personalized and custom signs. I apologize some pics aren't top notch--but I work really fast and often use my iPhone camera to capture and send images. Any questions? Just write me. http://www.rhondakwrites.com
RhondaK writes an A to Z about her history, her art work, her inspirational advice, her mama. her damned X's ( a favorite point of inspiration)...pugs, selling art, creative impulses and the authentic life for some years lost and found. http://www.rhondakwrites.com
RhondaK took a Thanksgiving trip to Flagler Beach, Florida to stay at the Si Como No Inn. She expresses gratitude for her family, her work as a Florida folk artist, and her boyfriend. She documents her trip through photos of the inn, local bars and scenery along A1A highway. These include images of her dog Sadie, surf art, signs and buildings. She picks up pieces of wood along the beach to use in her artwork and visits local shops and art galleries.
Part II of an ongoing attempt to show the stories behind my signs. I'm a Native Florida Folk Artist--not just someone selling rehashed "5 O'clock somewhere" signs for $20 -- but I'll do that. But I'll try to show you "MY" Florida while I'm at it. RhondaK, native floida folk artist -- Includes copyrighted and original works. Write for license information. Rhondakwrites.com
September 14-15, 2008. RhondaK restocks Star Fish, sloses through Hurricane Ike, takes her pug for a drive, paints new work and tries to figure out how to stop crying and start living.
September 2008 I set up at The Creative Native Gallery. It features many native Florida and Florida style artists including my mom and sister. We set up outside the gallery and painted all day. See their work and also Pam Moody's art. A peek at The Creative Native Gallery, too. This gallery carries alot of my mermaids.
My beloved mentor and friend killed himself July 20, 2008. I am simply destroyed and a little angry about how people deal with suicide victims. I miss him. I have regrets. This is my memorial.
RhondaK is a folk artist from Florida who creates custom and personalized signs. She finds wood from demolition sites and works without a studio using found materials. A customer named Kerry commissioned a sign for her family that depicts them as Florida creatures - the father as a manatee, Kerry as a mermaid, and the kids as crabs. The sign also includes their name and a welcome message. RhondaK works collaboratively with customers to design signs that have personal meaning. She then sends a photo of the completed sign for approval before shipping it to the customer.
RhondaK started painting in part to keep her Jeep running so she could get to work. Her X's dad repeatedly tried to sabotage it, things happened (including a few small fires) she put ALOT of miles on it...yet, it honed and served her art. This is a slideshow of the Jeep's art. I know I should sell it, but I just want it back with me. It has changed my life. Look at why this vehicle is so one of a kind. RhondaK and Her Mojo....rhondakwrites.com
RhondaK spent her weekend delivering custom signs, selling her artwork at events, and scouting potential locations for new sign commissions. She began her day delivering a sign for a pirate fundraising group and later set up her artwork at a street festival. Throughout the weekend, she visited various beach bars and restaurants along the Gulf coast to promote her business and look for new opportunities. Though it was an long weekend of work, she found potential new clients and sales venues for her hand-painted signs.

1. Walking My Pug…Tiki Bar Sign Artist Shares Siesta Key Dog Walk http://www.rhondakwrites.com Sadie the Sales Pug takes a day off walking her neighborhood.
2. Sadie often does shows with me. We live in Siesta Key. I try to treat her Pug Rescue butt well. This is our walk and the things we thing about when working on new work. Lots of PALM TREES. http://www.rhondakwrites.com Sadie the Sales Pug takes a day off walking her neighborhood.
3. This is Sadie’s Beach. It is called “Shell Beach.” Consistently the richer folks try to take this beach over. It is not a “deeded beach.” It is a public beach. Back in the “day” a lot of streets in Siesta Key ended in public beaches. Shell Beach is one of the last ones . This portion of the beach should be bought by Sarasota County . It is clearly a wet land situation that should be administrated by the EPA, condemned by the County and turned into a County Park. President Bush managed this sort of action for a stadium project, so you’d think the Sarasota Republicans could suck it up and do the same thing. http://www.rhondakwrites.com
4. When we go for a walk, Sadie always tries to love up on Boston. He’s a really super smart boy. He is also a throw away. A girl who had him threw him away and Bob, my friend took him over. He is always waiting for her to come back and throw a ball. Sadie loves him…but after almost a year he’s beginning to sort of like her. These are both wonderful used dogs. http://www.rhondakwrites.com
5. This house is going up in my neighborhood. What they don’t know the roof wood is substandard. As a ..wood repurposer..that roof wood splinters and expands under the most minor of rains. So far, they’ve not been good neighbors. I can’t even use wood cast offs for my art.. This Mcmansion is going to leak. A lot. Wouldn’t want to wait out a hurricane in it. h ttp://www.rhondakwrites.com
6. The Sades ( rhymes is jades ) probably has no opinion on the issue of who is ruining the neighborhood. But she listens to my rants. Good Girl. One thing for sure…Sadie IS NOT ruining neighborhood. http:// www.rhondakwrites.com
7. Because the Sadie and I walk past A LOT of mailboxes, you’re going to see a few here. This mailbox reads: CAMP HECTOR. As this isn’t a commercial thing, it is the owner thing. On one side he has sailing vessels and on the other pelicans. There’s a lot of pelican art in this area. http:// www.rhondakwrites.com
8. This is the trawler behind Camp Hector. These are steady on the intra-coastal and usually attract dolphins with their inboards. Nice reflection of a storm building sky in the water. A lot of these home owners have “sail boat” water. That is OK for a 5 ft. draft sailing vessel. A trawler often has a shallow draft. http:// www.rhondakwrites.com
9. After the pug and I get across the road…past Camp Hector …there is the Garden of Eden parcel of land for sale. It is AMAZING. That is what is fascinating about Siesta Key. It isn’t that built up. It has sections of wild. Sometimes a McMansion is by a regular 70’s style single family home. This is about 3 potential lots of HEAVEN…or one for a big pocketed buyer. Meantime, the pug and I trespass in heaven. http://www.rhondakwrites.com
