Or would you rather have this view.

We are in this business to provide you with a
high resolution image of the environmental
      variables of your datacenter while
understanding what assets you have and where
                    they are.

We provide the answer to the question
“Where is it, what is it and how is it doing?”.

To run a datacenter three things are needed to
make wise decisions.
1. You need to know what your assets are
2. You need to know where these assets are located
3. You need to understand the conditions they are in or running on

If you’re able to answer one question you drive but are blind.
If you’re able to answer two you can tell left from right but are still blind.

Answer all three and your able to drive, build and maintain while seeing
                            what your doing.

Infrared + RFID - Rack Location Solution

A740 IR system installed in each rack:
   • A740 control box (only requires power)
   • 2 IR light strips

 How it works:
   • Each A740 emits a unique ID via infrared
   • Each IR enabled asset tag in the rack receives the unique IR ID
   • When each IR enabled asset tag transmits its radio frequency beacon, it
includes the IR ID that it is currently “seeing”
   • RF Code software (ZM/AM/SM) interprets the IR ID to determine the location of
     the asset tag

Works in conjunction with IR enabled asset tags (R104 & R114) and M250 readers

Data Center Monitoring Challenges

           The high cost of wire
           • Expensive sensors and appliances
           • Time consuming and difficult to deploy / redeploy
           • Expensive to deploy
           • Inflexible
           • Mounting issues & awkward for use in front of racks

           The high cost of power
           • Power and cooling costs exceed capital asset costs
           • Inability to optimize data center for energy efficiency, asset use

R150 Temperature Tag Deployment Options

Single or Multiple • Single tag per rack for minimal coverage
Sensors per • Three tags per rack (top, middle, bottom)
        Rack for maximum coverage

                       • Adhesive backing allows tag to “stick” to

  • 6. To run a datacenter three things are needed to make wise decisions. 1. You need to know what your assets are 2. You need to know where these assets are located 3. You need to understand the conditions they are in or running on If you’re able to answer one question you drive but are blind. If you’re able to answer two you can tell left from right but are still blind. Answer all three and your able to drive, build and maintain while seeing what your doing. © Copyright 2011 RF Code Inc.
