service tracks for underserved and underrepresented populations in Memphis.

o Organized and recruited students for pro bono service projects in the Memphis community,
including monthly legal clinics and Project Homeless Connect.

Drafting and preparation of motions and pleadings for civil matters primarily focused on personal injury
litigation. Assisted with preparation of discovery and with depositions.
Assisted in researching and drafting a motion for withdrawal of guilty plea for a new client suffering
collateral immigration consequences.
Prepared an appellate brief to the Criminal Court of Appeals arguing that the mandatory nature of
implied consent DUI laws cannot effectuate voluntary consent to a blood draw.
Researched and drafted appellate briefs to the Court of Appeals, Criminal Court of Appeals, and the
Tennessee Supreme Court. Also assisted in researching and drafting a Writ of Certiorari to the United
States Supreme Court.

professor. Served as a Guardian ad Litem for children involved in dependency and neglect, custody, and
