2. Conceptualized and developed an Android Application which linked to the cloud for the
Chennai floods, consulted by Microsoft Technologies.
The application, called Disaster Maps was used by volunteers to map manholes all over the city.
Volunteers who went all over the town found it very hard to avoid falling into manholes as they
were not visible due to water logging.
Crowd sourcing was done to map manholes all over the city. The application was used while driving
to avoid manholes and save lives.

Conceptualized and completed a Music related project in IIT Madras
Built a pioneering “Korvai Generator” application using C++ and later made it a web application
under the guidance of Dr. V. Kamakoti, Professor, Computer Science Department, IIT Madras.
This project generates over 16,100 patterns for over 175 configurations of taalas and covers the en-
tire Indian Talam system.
It has received praise from leading musicians after it has been used by several artists including
Padma Vibhushan Chevalier Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna who said “As a musician, I find this project
to be a pathbreaking venture to link music and technology and I congratulate Shyam Ravishankar
for a wonderful job done.”
Participated and performed exceptionally well in the ADCOM International Conference held
between the 18th and the 20th of September 2015 at IIT Madras.

yaraaja, Dr. L. Shankar (Shenkar), Charumathi Ramachandran, Trivandrum Dr. K. Krishnakumar
and Sriram Gangadharan.
Has recorded for several music directors including Ilaiyraaja, Bharadwaj and Ghibran. Played in the
background score in the Telugu movie “Yevade Subramaniam”. Several newspapers including The
Hindu mentioned that the background music was one of the main plus points of the film. He has
also performed in many Television channels including Jaya TV, DD Podhigai, Sankara TV, Chitti-
ram TV and Pudhuyugam and has been written about in popular newspapers The Hindu and The
Times of India.

Guinness Book of World Records, CCRT scholarship from the government of India, Youth Excel-
lence Award from The Rotary Club, Mr. Sangeetha Kala and has won many contests coducted by
