This dissertation examines the relationship between educational expenditures per school district and academic performance in Oklahoma. The study analyzes school district data from 1997 to 1999 using multiple correlation and logistic regression to relate administration, instructional, and general funding costs to student academic performance. The analysis finds that higher per-student administrative expenditures are directly related to better academic performance, while school district size is not related to academic success rates. The conclusion is that there is a persistent link between school spending and student performance, refuting the myth that money does not impact education.

The document discusses options for improving the Brevard County Fairgrounds. It finds that the fairgrounds' small size and lack of an equestrian facility limit its potential. Successful fairgrounds operate like businesses, leveraging their location and facilities for year-round commercial, social, and civic events. A two-phase expansion is proposed, first adding facilities like a sale arena and livestock stalls, then a large covered arena. Phase I is projected to generate $131,000 annually while Phase II could yield $504,000 as the fairgrounds attracts more equestrian and other large events. The full expansion's economic and fiscal impacts are estimated at $62.6 million and $4 million respectively
