This document summarizes a study analyzing questionnaires from 200 Norwich University alumni who served in World War I. A preliminary sample of 50 questionnaires was taken to identify common sections to analyze, such as branch of service, casualties, decorations, engagements, foreign service, and rank. The author then analyzed the selected sections from the remaining 200 questionnaires from the sample. The analysis found that 95% were affiliated with a branch of service, 16.5% were casualties, 7% received decorations, 23.5% reported engagements, 52% had foreign service, and 87% held rank.
