IDENTITY
Our mission:
 REINTUR is defined as a network of networks. It is
created to connect the networks of researchers on
tourism in Spain and Portugal wishing to join, for
which there will be in each of them a researcher
serving as a coordinator. Its mission is to promote
scientific cooperation and generate synergies to tackle
more ambitious projects, from the addition of efforts
and resources.
 Being part of REINTUR does not condition the
independent work of each of their networks.

IDENTITY
Our vision:
 REINTUR aims to establish itself as a reference
network for research in tourism within the
Iberian scope (Spain and Portugal).
 We want to be an ambitious and dynamic
network in which members participate actively
guided by the values of cooperation, mutual
assistance and transparency.
 Networking and interdisciplinarity are
fundamental guidelines of our work.
IDENTITY
Our objectives:
 Encourage the joint work of its members
through obtaining:
-Competitive research projects at regional,
national and international calls.
-Research contracts and knowledge transfer
contracts with public and private actors in the
industry.
 Encourage mobility of researchers through all
kind of agreements.

STRUCTURE OF REINTUR
Operation: When circumstances require, head and coordinators
may function as an executive committee.
WE ARE:
35 researchers (mostly PhDs) from:
 13 Spanish universities: Huelva, Sevilla, Pablo
de Olavide, Cádiz, Málaga, Almería, Córdoba,
Jaén, Granada, Extremadura, Salamanca, Vigo,
Cantabria.
 4 Portuguese higher education institutions:
ALGARVE, INUAF, ÉVORA, UTAD.
 Who belong to the different areas of business
economics, mainly.
OUR MAIN LINES OF RESEARCH
 Analysis of tourism policies.
 Gastronomic/Wine tourism.
 Rural/Nature tourism.
 Perception of local communities (residents).
 Golf tourism.
 Senior tourism.
 Community tourism in developing countries.
 Smart Tourism Destinations.
 Accessible tourism.
 Gender issues in tourism businesses.
