Tim La Touche volunteered as a Gamesmaker to work as a sports statistician at the water polo arena during the 2012 London Olympics. His role involved tracking shots, fouls, and other statistics during matches and inputting the data into a tablet computer. He underwent training in the lead-up to the games. Some notable moments he witnessed included an illegal timeout call that changed the outcome of a women's semi-final match and a dramatic men's bronze medal match between Serbia and Montenegro that featured seven red cards. He also enjoyed his time off visiting other venues like beach volleyball and attending events in Hyde Park.
