I have worked with Andrea Wallner in my customer position as Senior Supply Chain Manager
Burger King Central Europe from 2002 until 2006.
Dear Sirs,
I met Andrea and her brother Joerg Wallner of Frigoliner GmbH shortly after I joined with Burger
King in November 2002. That time we faced a dramatic supply chain situation with our contractor
EXEL Logistics and were looking for a new and reliable partner for BK Austria.
The Austrian master franchisees highly recommended the small, but intensely customer oriented
and efficient EXEL´s subcontractor Frigoliner Int.Thermospedition GmbH in Grosskarolinenfeld.
After 2 meetings only we signed a contract. Despite the in logistics particularly hectic impending
Christmas Season and the extremely short time to prepare, Andrea implemented an overall new
supply chain management for BK, including:
! Warehousing space fulfilling the intense BK quality standards
! Optimizing BK product specification sheets
! Getting those in for more than 200 articles from 50 suppliers in CE
! Choosing, getting, implementing a stock keeping and managing program
! Masterfile including all supplier and product data, sales statistics and open book
calculation prices per item
! Restaurant order sheets and other forms
! Finding and communicating delivery schedules for all stores
! Order with suppliers – stock ownership and shelf life responsibility
! Training warehouse and driver staff in BK standards
The 1st
and perfect delivery to an Austrian restaurant was completed on January 16th
.
There is not much to add.
In February we started building up Switzerland and even more challenging last minute acts had
to be completed. In the same month we also trusted in Andrea to handle the supply for our Italian
master franchisee Autogrill.
Also due to the immensely increasing volume and need of capital involved, the Wallners decided
to sell Frigoliner to Tibbett&Britten logistics Austria in summer 2003:

! Switch of IT
! New statistics, calculations, routes, communication
! Training of warehouse, driving and administration personnel

4. As Account Director Burger King Andrea was fully responsible for the organisation and smooth
run of the BK exclusive T&B Frigoliner GmbH.
Andrea is an exceptionally reliable and trustworthy person. Not possible does not exist for her,
her customer orientation and organisational skills are outstanding. She is a hard worker and very
dedicated to her job and duties. For BK CE, customer service and reached another dimension
with Andrea and Frigoliner was rated 1st
in an internal BK quality ranking of all CE suppliers.
During the mergers with EXEL logistics and DHL- Deutsche Post World Net additional tenders
followed. Andrea also volunteered in supplying the few new market entry stores in Cyprus, which
was an extraordinary endeavour regarding customs and food regulations before Cyprus joined
the EU.
After Andrea and Joerg Wallner left the company, BK did not extend any country contract at the
next negotiations.
The reason for this elaborate reference is my ongoing respect and gratefulness for the dedication
and support, my team and I received from Andrea. Needless to say that my own very successful
start and development at BK I also owe to quite an extent to the perfect logistics and supply
chain that I could fully rely and build on.
I can only congratulate you, if you are planning to hire Andrea for no matter what position.
She is a fast learner and mastering new challenges is one of her great strengths. Andrea had no
experience in SCM and Burger King when we started and still made it possible within only a few
