To Whom It May Concern:
Jacob Howell worked at Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve (WRST) during the 2013
field season. He was hired by us as a Fisheries volunteer through the Student Conservation
Association (SCA).
Jacob worked on several fisheries projects in semi-remote and remote areas of the park, and
gained experience and confidence in fisheries techniques and wilderness skills throughout the
summer. By the end of the summer I was confident in his abilities to work independently or with
minimum supervision on projects.
Jacob worked with several different crews during our field season and got along well with all of
them. He is active, friendly, works hard and is a good crew member. He brought good outdoor
skills to the job and learned new ones during his time here at WRST. He is well mannered,
respectful and eager to learn new things.
