RE: Recommendation letter for Nidhi Thite
It is my pleasure to recommend Nidhi Thite for future positions for which she intends applying. I came to
know Nidhi during interactions with her as an industrial intern in my team, where she was fully focussed on
a project related to the characterisation of shale wettability for assessing gas storage and flow in reservoirs.
In the short 8 weeks of her internship Nidhi’s efforts have been valuable for the development of our
current experimental rig for measuring wettability and for progressing on the development of an operating
manual for the rig.
During her internship she conducted wettability experiments on shale cores from a number of Australian
sites using various gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. She also processed measurement data,
quickly taught herself about the theory of wettability through reviewing literature and internal reports, and
ensured that the hardware and software components of the experimental rig were fully functional.
Nidhi demonstrated exemplary problem solving skills for day to day tasks, is a good listener and thoughtful
person. I fully support her application for future positions and have no doubt that she will be successful in
all her endeavours in future.
