The RECODE project aims to develop policy recommendations for open access to research data in Europe. It has eight partners across five countries and a budget of €1,147,484.70. The project will analyze different research ecosystems through five case studies and identify gaps, tensions, and best practices regarding accessible, usable, assessable and evaluable research data. The work is organized into seven work packages focused on stakeholder values; infrastructure and technology; legal and ethical issues; institutional support; policy guidelines; stakeholder engagement; and dissemination. The goals are to reduce fragmentation among stakeholders and help ensure open research data practices.
