directives, meant to extend the lifespan of the aircraft.
 Aviation Structural Mechanic - US Navy – Last Assignment: VRC-40 Rawhides in
Norfolk, VA - Aug 2005-Dec 2012 - Honorably Discharged
-Maintained 8-12 aircraft in an “up-and-ready” status at all times. Being one of the only
two C-2A squadrons on the planet, our squadron’s task was to deliver people, parts, and
mail to all corners of the globe, especially in crisis situations.
-Ensured all of the hydraulic, pneumatic, and flight systems were properly functioning
through rigorous inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
-Completed Paint & Final Finish School, receiving certification to apply gloss paint
schemes to all military aircraft.
-Served as Lead Petty Officer of the 12C Corrosion Prevention and Treatment shop on
two deployments (eighteen months). Integral in the training and certification of three of
my subordinates in the Paint & Final Finish Program.
-Participated in the successful delivery of over five million pounds of cargo during my
tenure at VRC-40, helping bolster the squadron’s mission completion rate to over ninety-
one percent.
