Meadowlands until 1963 when they moved
to Aitkin. Ray attended Maryhill Academy
photo and then the Aitkin School, graduating in
1975. He started working for the Midland
Company, Cumming’s, and then Harvey
Blomberg until 1988 when he joined his
brother Tom at the Aitkin Tire Shop. He and
his brother co-owned and operated the shop.
Ray married Betty Jane Erlandson on Aug.
1, 1981, in Aitkin. He was a member of the
Moose Lodge and the H.O.G.S. (Harley
Owners Group). He enjoyed
woodworking, landscaping and hunting. He
was very active in the annual Riverboat Days
Races on the Mississippi River.
