In this presentation you will learn about Raynaud's disease, also known as Raynaud's phenomenon or Raynaud's syndrome, is a condition that affects blood flow to certain parts of the body — usually the fingers and toes. This phenomenon is characterized by episodes of reduced blood flow, leading to discoloration of the affected areas (usually turning white or blue) and often accompanied by numbness or tingling. When blood flow is restored, the skin may turn red as the affected areas warm up.

● It is the disorder affecting the blood vessels of the
fingers and toe which become abnormally constricted.
● The raynaud's phenomenon is used to refer
localized,intermittent episodes of vasoconstriction of
small arteries of feet and hands that cause colour and
temperature change.
● It occur more frequently in cold climate and during the
winter.

4. ■ Sign and symptoms:
Feeling of numbness
Sensation of cold
Burning pain
Paresthesia(loss of sensation)
Colour changes of one or more digits
■ Other symptoms are:
Swelling
Skin ulcer
Pain
Gangrene
Pallor
