“It was a gray morning with flat light on the sea end of Ledge Road. This did not bode well for the day. Everything looked drab. This particular arrangement of rock, though, presented interesting forms and patterns in spite of the light, almost as if quarried. Well, says I to myself, this is a seacoast day as common as any, and I am all about capturing the seacoast at this moment. So capture it I did, and then did a little rock climbing. Not so long after, the sun came out in all its glory.”
