Worked on the implementation of various techniques of Feature Selection a part of machine learning
such as ​forward selection algorithms​,​ backward elimination algorithms ​and these ​algorithms​ were
implemented on given data sets.
A ​data​ ​set​ is a collection of data. Most commonly a data set corresponds to the contents of a single
database table, or a single statistical data matrix, where every column of the table represents a
particular variable, and each row corresponds to a given member of the data set in question.The

simplest algorithm is to test each possible subset of features finding the one which minimizes the error
rate.

Academic Projects
MetaData based Classification of youtube videos july 2015 - December 2015
We intend on presenting a solution based on mining YouTube to discover videos that are
classified into five categories such as​ ​Ragging, Psychological Harassment, Extremists,
Suicidal Attack, Domestic Violence​. Furthermore, the videos in each category are classified
at one more level​ positive and negative harassment videos based on decision tree classification
algorithm. The implementation for​ classification algorithm​ as well the ​script​ for ​retrieving the data
sets​ was done in ​python​.
Threshold Secret Sharing​ ​ Jan 2015 – April 2015
Using Socket Programming in ​Python​ and​ Shamir’s algorithm ​a platform was created from where a
user can send a message to other users specifying the threshold to be followed and the message was
divided among all participants by sending each share to each participant and it was ensured that
message only decrypts once specified threshold number of participants disclose their share

Recruitment Park ​ ​Aug 2014 – Dec2014
This Project is a ​Web based Application​ for both recruiters and applicants . Recruiters can post
vacancies for the applicants and compare applicants profile with their respective id's and applicants
can search for the vacancies posted by recruiters . This application was build using ​PHP ,MYSQL ,
HTML/CSS.
Travel and Tourism Planning Jan 2014 – May 2014
A System which minimizes the travel cost of the user using ​Dijkstra's Algorithm.​ It calculates distance
between two destinations and calculate the cost incurred by using different modes of transport in
order to minimize distance as well as time and cost. It was implemented in ​C.
Database Design for Blood Bank Management Aug 2013-Dec 2013
A part of Database Course project ​Database system​ was made using ​MySQL​ which helps to perform
basic Operations for​ inserting, updating, retrieving, deleting and searching​ relevant records. Design
of a database to store and organize information such as doctor’s availability, donor details, staff
details, Blood bank details.
