Conventions of radio trailers

 Genre specific voiceover
 Extracts from film
 Connotations of sound FX
 Use sound track
 Information
 Sells genre
 Interruption
 Release Date

When coming to create our radio trailer we’ll take all
of these into consideration and make sure we have a well
structured and effective trailer.
Voiceover
 Correct mode of address
 Gender
 Tone
 Script

Radio trailers are much more dependent on
sound than films are. They use a voice over
to take the place of visuals and this is,
normally, a man's voice. It is normally deep
and powerful and the words are spoken
according to the genre of the film. The
voice over must have the correct mode of
address for the film (gender, age, tone).
