To whom it may concern,
I am delighted to recommend Rachel Rosen as a marketing candidate. I supervised
Rachel during her marketing internship at Sportody in fall 2014. Although she had only
begun her second year at the university, Rachel continuously impressed me with her
initiative, strategic planning, communications, and problem-solving skills. She displayed
wisdom beyond her years, and was appointed a leadership role among her fellow
interns, most of whom were third- or fourth-year students.
In particular, Rachel demonstrated a great mind for marketing strategy. Even before her
internship, Rachel presented Sportody with a brief analysis of our product offerings and
recommendations for improving our platform, incentivizing usage, and reaching more
customers. During her internship, Rachel maintained this same level of motivation,
proposing ideas for a new “brand ambassador” program and influencer marketing
campaign. She also assumed responsibility of our community relations strategy, building
partnerships with local outdoor groups to raise awareness among their members.
Further, Rachel was the organizing force behind our marketing launch. She coordinated
a team of eight interns to assemble a strategic plan involving public relations, social
media, brand influencers, event marketing, and corporate partnerships to promote the
launch of the Sportody web platform. Rachel proved excellent at each stage of the
process, from brainstorming and planning to communicating and overseeing the team.
I would be delighted to work with Rachel again, and look forward to watching her
marketing career take shape. I am confident that Rachel will continue to sharpen her
skills and add value as a marketer in the organizations she serves. I highly recommend
her for future endeavors in marketing.
With great respect,
Haley Dilling, VP Marketing
