Timothy Kline was nominated and selected as the winner of Menlo Worldwide Logistics' First Quarter 2014 Quarterly Leader Award for his outstanding efforts in supporting the company's customer, Bayer MaterialScience, during a period of disruptions to their supply chain caused by winter weather. Tim ensured Bayer's bulk transportation needs were met by increasing trailer capacity and managing utilization. He also worked from Bayer's Pittsburgh office to actively participate in conference calls and display his knowledge of their network. Bayer praised Menlo and Tim's leadership in maintaining uninterrupted service. Tim will be honored locally for exemplifying the company's core values of leadership, integrity, commitment, and excellence.

I'd like to submit Tim Kline, Load Planner for Bayer MaterialScience domiciled at the NLC in Aurora, IL for
consideration for 1Q14 QLA. Tim possesses a very special skill set in that he handles all aspects of liquid
bulk tank truck planning. The recent and relentless inclement winter weather impacting most of North
America presented unique challenges for the bulk mode as rail car movements became extremely tight
and service inconsistent. The natural tendency is for chemical companies to switch from rail car moves
to bulk truck. Tim was most instrumental in ensuring Bayer's bulk transportation needs were met,
sacrificing personal and family time to work from Bayer's corporate office in Pittsburgh during the crisis.
I received the following letter from Bayer praising Menlo's efforts and Tim's leadership:

efforts over the past several weeks to support our business and our customers through disruptions
affecting our supply chain. We are aware that these disruptions have put a strain on our logistics service

Menlo has been very active in ensuring bulk transportation needs are met. BMS Bulk Excess trailers
were increased on short notice which, in turn required increased focus on trailer utilization and
management. The Menlo bulk team has been effective in assisting our efforts and in particular we
would like to commend Tim Kline on his additional efforts and involvement. Tim's presence at our
Pittsburgh site has been welcome, and his active participation in cross-functional Supply Chain Alert
teleconferences have displayed his enhanced knowledge of our network to the BMS team.
