This document summarizes test results for a hot pink 100% polyester satin fabric intended for use as pillowcases. Key findings include:
1. The satin fabric met or exceeded all quality requirements for tearing strength, color fastness to laundering and various stains, flammability, sweat resistance, and abrasion resistance.
2. Detailed test results are provided for factors like breaking force, spectrophotometer measurements, and weathering tests showing minimal color change after laundering and exposure.
3. The satin weave structure and single weft float make it flexible but potentially fragile, so durability standards for snagging, pilling and tearing must be met for pillow

When purchasing pillowcases, as with any product, the consumer will be looking for
certain requirements to meet their quality expectations. A very important component of the
pillowcase is the care tag. The care tag lists the correct instructions and pictures for laundering
as well as the information explaining what materials the product is constructed out of.
Purpose/Use:
Pillow case’s
The pillowcase will need to have extended durability with a lustrous finish to stay soft for
long periods of time. The color and finish of the satin should be able to withstand fading or
bleeding over the course of time, launderings, sun exposure, and every night usage.
The satin must be absorbent, yet the fabric must let air pass through it. The air
permeability must be good enough for the consumer not to get too hot while laying their head on
the pillow.
The fabric will need to to be durabile to avoid snagging, pilling, and tearing
This fabric will need to be flame resistant
