Skates.com has introduced a new hybrid skate called the Quadline that combines inline skate wheels with a traditional roller skate boot and chassis. The Quadline allows for greater stability and maneuverability than inline or roller skates alone. It has been selling well since its introduction. A professional roller skate instructor endorses the Quadline, saying it brings skating to a whole new level.

Skates.com unveils invention of QUADLINE hybrid skates
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Skates.com introduces the Quadline, a brand new hybrid skate combining inline
skate wheels with traditional roller skate boots, chassis and trucks. Lee Cole, CEO of skates.com and
inventor of the Quadline says, “this innovation produces the speed of an inline skate with the superior
stability and maneuverability of a roller skate.” The Quadline skate has been listed on skates.com website
since its introduction in February 2006 and is selling remarkably well. Quadline skates appeal to both inline
and roller skaters.
The toe-box of the Quadline is cradled between a larger more dynamic pivot-range through a larger wheel
base utilizing extra-wide trucks. This allows the skater to steer either foot independently within glides better
than inline or traditional roller skates. The Quadline was initially designed to accommodate 100mm wheels.
The success of the prototype led to subsequent models designed to accommodate smaller regular inline
wheels ranging from 76mm to 84mm.
“It’s a whole new skating experience” says Richard Humphrey, a professional roller skate and rollerdance
instructor since 1978. He endorses the Quadline. Humphrey tours the United States teaching rollerdance
and attending skating events believes the Quadline has brought skating to a whole new level. He says the
Quadline is “The Skate that Crosses All the Lines.”
